The destination of this pilgrimage is home. These are my musings along the way... observations, thoughts, concerns, frustrations and joys. My hope is, ultimately, to honor Jesus Christ, my Lord, and to be home with him.
Just read a good article on Advent (Advent - Close Encounters of a Liturgical Kind). The liturgical celebration of Advent should be more a part of what we do at home. We (so-called evangelicals) need a stronger connection to the Church in general and that comes, at least in part, through a stronger identification with the historical Church.

Overwhelmed by the grace and mercy of God in things seen and unseen yet constantly battling habits of heart and mind that drive the desire for comfort and ease. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
