What's a Cat?

The courts of our country are preparing to pass laws to turn cats into dogs.
But legal redefinitions of cats do not make a cat a dog. So it is with
marriage.

Okay, so that's not really what's happening... but it's close.

Attempting to redefine marriage as any kind of "serious" committment any two
people may make towards each other is as ludicrous as trying to redefine
what it means to be a cat. Cats are cats because of what they are. It
doesn't matter what we call them - they still are cats. Marriage is no
different. Marriage is what it is - the union and mutual loving committment
of one man and one woman for life - because of what it is, not because of
any legal definitions or what any majority may decide they want it to be.

A cat is a cat and will always be a cat regardless of who or how many want
to call it a dog.
